Community and Celebrations
UNITED WAY OF DANE COUNTY – Realtime’s Chili Cook-Off – Annually, our employees enter their favorite family chili recipes into a mystery tasting contest. Monetary donations are collected from members of our staff that wish to participate in sampling and voting for the savory flavors, and then donated directly to the United Way fundraiser campaign. The United Way organization envisions a world where all individuals and families achieve their human potential through education, income stability, and healthy lives. Realtime is proud to be able to participate in this vision, and add some spice along the way. In 2017, we added to the fundraising efforts with a “Brat and Dogs Lunch Day,” a very sweet “Sundae Bar,” and a “Donate for a Week of Jeans and Sneakers.”
KOATS FOR KIDS – On October 4th, Realtime donated 24 jackets, and an assortment of winter gloves, hats, snow pants, and scarves to the 2017 Koats for Kids collection drive. This was the 32nd annual campaign in partnership with local Madison sponsors. The coats are cleaned and given to the Community Action Coalition (CAC) for distribution to our local community. A big thank you to Laura Craig for organizing the event and to all Realtime employees for their warm donations.
HENRY VILAS ZOO RUN RUN – On September 24th, Realtime employees braved the record high temperatures, and participated in the 12th Annual Henry Vilas Zoo Run Run. This is an event held to raise funds to support the public (free) Henry Vilas Zoo in Madison, WI. Teammates participated within 3 event categories (5K Run/5K Walk/10K Run), and also had the choice of representing a predator (snow leopard) or prey (red panda). You can see from the photos how ferocious everyone tried to look (not so much). Check out those ad-“roar”-able racing shirts (designed by Realtime’s own MKG)! Regardless of predator or prey, everyone had an absolute blast! Great job, Realtime!
2015 – Co-workers participated within 3 event categories (5K Run/5K Walk/10K Run), and several within the group placed in the top 10 of their designated age brackets!
2014 – A big congrats to Gordon Prejean, P.E. (with his son Joseph) , who placed 2nd within his age division and 70th out of 656 total participants.
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY – A non-profit charity dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and homelessness worldwide. Habitat’s policy is to build with people in need, regardless of race or religion – welcoming volunteers and support from all backgrounds. Realtime employees completed another successful volunteering event with Habitat in May 2017. These are such rewarding experiences! Great job Laura, for bringing the team together!
JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT – This Spring, volunteers adventured into a classroom setting to participate in the Jr. Achievement (JA) program. JA is the nation’s largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills needed to own their economic success, plan for their futures, and make smart academic and economic choices. Volunteers taught weekly, one-hour lessons for a five-week duration, to 2nd-5th graders. Our volunteers highly recommended the experience and will be continuing the program this Fall.
36th ANNUAL CRAZYLEGS CLASSIC 2M WALK/5M RUN – On Saturday, April 29th, Realtime employees braved the wind and cold, to have fun at the 36th Annual Crazylegs Classic. Proceeds from this race support the University of Wisconsin-Madison Athletics Department. Participants start at our beautiful Capitol building, and then cross the finish line at Camp Randall Stadium. There are great rewards at the end of this race and all of our loyal runners and walkers finished successfully, with smiles on their faces.
NATIONAL PI DAY – Realtime celebrated National Pi Day on 3.14.2017. Employees had the chance to bring in their favorite homemade pie recipes and compete for prizes. All contributions to participate in this event were donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charity. Laura Craig, organizer of this event and expert in-house baker, stole the show, collecting 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes!
Each day, our employees practice the definition of dedication and hard work. Realtime appreciates the extent of commitment our employees demonstrate to our clients, and offers a variety of rewarding opportunities for these efforts. Throughout the year, employees are able to take part in the following activities and celebrations: monthly employee birthday treats, potluck feasts, P.E. and academic recognition, anniversaries, retirements, summer golf outings, end-of-summer picnic, and a most entertaining, year-end holiday party. These special events allow time for socializing outside of the work atmosphere, and offer a chance to meet co-workers that may not always be seen on a day-to-day basis. Please enjoy a sampling of pictures from past holiday parties, golf outings, potlucks, and summer picnics.
NATIONAL ENGINEERS WEEK
Realtime celebrated National Engineers Week (Feb. 18th – Feb. 24th) with a fun recognition to our wonderful engineering staff.
QUANTA COMMITMENT COIN AWARD (SAFETY RECOGNITION)
A big congratulations to Field Testing Technician, Matt Granquist, for his dedication to safety excellence. During a recent field inspection, Matt was able to recognize a potentially dangerous safety hazard, ultimately preventing any incidents from occurring at the project site. Realtime recognized this accomplishment and presented Matt with the “Quanta Commitment Coin Award.” This was an outstanding example of leadership and commitment to safety, and we are proud to have Matt as a part of the Field Services Team.
GRAND OPENING – JUNE 17TH, 2015
We are proud to announce that on January 19th, 2015 – Realtime opened its doors at our new office location in Fitchburg, WI, a suburb of Madison. The actual move was accomplished in one weekend, with zero downtime. Many employees volunteered long hours to make this move a success. In celebration, and after a few months of “settling in,” we held our Grand Opening celebration in June, 2015. http://eepurl.com/bt4VGH
