COMMUNITY EVENTS
UNITED WAY OF DANE COUNTY – Realtime’s Chili Cook-Off – Annually, our employees enter their favorite family chili recipes into a mystery tasting contest. Monetary donations are collected from members of our staff that wish to participate in sampling and voting for the savory flavors, and then donated directly to the United Way fundraiser campaign. The United Way organization envisions a world where all individuals and families achieve their human potential through education, income stability, and healthy lives. Realtime is proud to be able to participate in this vision, and add some spice along the way. Some fun campaign events include “Brat and Dogs Lunch Day,” a very sweet “Sundae Bar,” “Donate for a Week of Jeans and Sneakers,” and “Coin Wars!”

KOATS FOR KIDS – On October 2nd, Realtime donated 24 jackets, and an assortment of winter gloves, hats, snow pants, and scarves to the 2019 Koats for Kids collection drive. This was the 33rd annual campaign in partnership with local Madison sponsors. The coats are cleaned and given to the Community Action Coalition (CAC) for distribution to our local community. A big thank you to Laura Craig for organizing the event and to all Realtime employees for their warm donations.
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF DANE COUNTY– A non-profit charity dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and homelessness worldwide. Habitat’s policy is to build with people in need, regardless of race or religion – welcoming volunteers and support from all backgrounds. Realtime employees completed another successful volunteering event with Habitat on June 8th, 2019. These are such rewarding experiences! Great job Laura, for bringing the team together!

JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT – This Spring, volunteers adventured into a classroom setting to participate in the Jr. Achievement (JA) program. JA is the nation’s largest organization dedicated to giving young people the knowledge and skills needed to own their economic success, plan for their futures, and make smart academic and economic choices. Volunteers taught weekly, one-hour lessons (five-week duration) to Kindergarten-5th graders. Our volunteers highly recommended the experience and will be continuing the program in 2020.

CRAZYLEGS CLASSIC 2M WALK/5M RUN – On Saturday, April 27th, Realtime employees/family members braved the chilled air to have fun at the annual Crazylegs Classic. Proceeds from this race support the University of Wisconsin-Madison Athletics Department. Participants start at our beautiful Capitol building, and then cross the finish line at Camp Randall Stadium. There are great rewards at the end of this race and all of our loyal runners and walkers finished successfully, with smiles on their faces.

HENRY VILAS ZOO RUN RUN – On September 30th, Realtime employees braved the bitter cold temperatures, and participated in the Annual Henry Vilas Zoo Run Run. This is an event held to raise funds to support the public (free) Henry Vilas Zoo in Madison, WI. Teammates participated within 3 event categories (5K Run/5K Walk/10K Run), and also had the choice of representing a predator (our famous WI badger mascot) or prey (a gopher). You can see from the photos how ferocious everyone tried to look! Regardless of predator or prey, everyone had an absolute blast, even if it came to a little friendly competition amongst coworkers! Great job, Realtime!

CELEBRATIONS
Each day, our employees practice the definition of dedication and hard work. Realtime appreciates the extent of commitment our employees demonstrate to our clients, and offers a variety of rewarding opportunities for these efforts. Throughout the year, employees are able to take part in the following activities and celebrations: monthly employee birthday treats, potluck feasts, P.E. and academic recognition, anniversaries, retirements, summer golf outings, end-of-summer picnic, and a most entertaining, year-end holiday party. These special events allow time for socializing outside of the work atmosphere, and offer a chance to meet co-workers that may not always be seen on a day-to-day basis. Please enjoy a sampling of pictures from past holiday parties, golf outings, potlucks, and summer Mallards games.

During a recent field inspection, Matt was able to recognize a potentially dangerous safety hazard, ultimately preventing any incidents from occurring at the project site. Realtime recognized this accomplishment and presented Matt with the “Quanta Commitment Coin Award.” This was an outstanding example of leadership and commitment to safety, and we are proud to have Matt as a part of the Field Services Team.
