Dry Lake Wind Park

Dry Lake Wind Park

New 34.5kV Collector System
Navajo County, Arizona

Realtime provided engineering for the construction of a new 34.5kV Collector System for the installation and operation of a 63 MW wind park. The wind park consisted of (30) Suzlon S88 2.1 MW wind turbines, located in Navajo County, Arizona. The renewable energy supports the Salt River Project (SRP), the third-largest public utility in the nation, serving customers in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area.

Included in this project were design services for the installation of over (45) miles of underground 34.5kV cable, (30) pad mounted transformers, and (15) pad mounted junction boxes (twelve of which were 2-way junction boxes used instead of underground splices).
