Realtime with Quanta Services partner M.J. Electric provided engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for a new 345kV switch-yard in a five-breaker ring bus configuration.
The switch-yard consisted of (5) 345kV breakers which connected to (4) lines and a new generating station. New line and breaker protection was designed for installation in a new control house.
Two of the lines used fiber communications and two utilized power line carriers. The generating station was protected using (4) fiber channels.
